While you can benefit greatly from a career in manufacturing, your city benefits too. Being able to design, create, and sell the products we use everyday right here in Cincinnati is better for the environment, your wallet, and our sense of community. Think of how many items you use in a day. Your toothbrush, cell phone, dining table, the shirt you’re wearing, all of them were manufactured with human ingenuity. Will you be part of the next generation of manufacturers?
Dark, dull, dirty, dangerous- these are the outdated misconceptions that come to mind when many people think of manufacturing. In reality, manufacturing is a booming industry where you can work on the cutting edge of technological innovation. While it was once popular to outsource manufacturing jobs overseas, America is now committed to “on-shoring” manufacturing, which means bringing those jobs back to the States. Cincinnati in particular is a hotspot for the creation of new manufacturing jobs.
If you’re planning on joining the workforce right after high school, you might imagine “the workforce” as people in ties and pencil skirts sitting in cubicles completing paperwork. While there are certainly jobs like this, your opportunities for work with a high school diploma are much more widespread and varied than you think. Whether you’re someone who enjoys working with your hands, working outdoors, building robots, or yes, even sitting in a cubicle doing paperwork, there are plenty of well-paying manufacturing job opportunities awaiting you. Each of our hiring partners has a starting wage of at least $18 per hour with comprehensive benefits, and many go on to offer tuition reimbursement and onsite training to help you grow.
This makes it a great time for job-seekers to enter the manufacturing workforce. Plus, you’ll find a variety of well-paying jobs to suit any interest, and with a wealth of career paths to hone your skills and find your passion.
