It's Here! Manufacturing Month 2024

Between tours, classroom visits, and Peterloon, Make It Cincy is planning for 7,000 students to be exposed to manufacturing careers this October. The interactive engagement of Manufacturing Month piques young curiosity, and gives students the knowledge they need to chart their path forward in manufacturing.

With the start of October, Manufacturing Month 2024 is officially here, and Cincinnati manufacturers are gearing up to make a significant impact. This year, Make It Cincy is coordinating over 100 tours of local manufacturing facilities and college manufacturing programs. We hope to reach at least 2,000 students through these tours, providing a unique opportunity for young people to get an inside look at the dynamic career paths offered in the manufacturing industry.

Make It Cincy is also partnering with the Dan Beard Scout council on biannual Scouts event Peterloon. Peterloon is an all-day event where Scouts, troop leaders, and parents can interact with hands-on activities and demos relating to different career paths. Make It Cincy companies are ensuring a strong manufacturing presence at the event. Scouts ages 5-18 will be able to build circuits, operate a robotic arm, write code, use VR and AR, and see drone demonstrations. We're expecting up to 5,000 Scouts at the event!
